Orders and Shipping

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

We ship weekdays using CourierPost – most orders arrive between 1-3 days. If you are rural then add a day or 2 extra.

CLICK AND COLLECT (LOCAL CHRISTCHURCH ORDERS)

Click & Collect is a completely free service! If our store has the item in stock, the turnaround time is 15 minutes from the time of order (during business hours). TIP: keep in mind our trading hours when planning your collection. For same day collection it is best to order before 2pm.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY SHIPPING ADDRESS?

Yes, however you will need to contact us as soon as you realise the mistake. In most cases you will have to re-direct the package once NZ Post have it in their system.

HOW DO I TRACK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

You can track the status of your order in your account page, you will also get emailed tracking information from NZ Post to track your package.

WILL YOU KEEP MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ON FILE?

No, credit cards are processed via WindCave and no data is stored at all in our system about your full card number.

CAN I PAY VIA BANK TRANSFER?

At checkout select POLi

  1. Select your bank.
  2. When prompted login using your Internet Banking username and password.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the payment transaction. 
  4. Confirm the payment at which point you will be redirected back to our website.

Returns and Exchanges

WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

There is a 25% re-stocking fee which covers having to arrange for the product to be bought to as new condition.

If your order qualified for free shipping, and you get a refund the shipping amount of $6.90 for normal courier will be deducted from the total to cover your courier fee.

I RECEIVED THE WRONG ITEM

If we have sent you the incorrect product, please contact us to make it right – sometimes we do get the pick and pack process wrong.

MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED

Do not accept the package from the courier, and take photos then notify us as soon as possible.

Consumer Guarantees Act - Your Rights

Faulty goods returns

In the unlikely event that a product you have purchased from Fitness New Zealand is or becomes faulty, we are committed to meeting our obligations under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, is legislation that outlines the guarantees and rights of both the seller and consumer for products and services sold.

  • Under the CGA, products sold by us must be safe, of acceptable quality, fit for the purpose they have been purchased for, match the description given, match the sample or demonstration model and be of acceptable condition when received by you;
  • The CGA guarantees are in addition to any other warranty offer(s) provided by the manufacturer, or insurance provider (if applicable); and
  • The CGA does not apply where the product has been misused, broken or improperly operated.
Minor Fault

If a product sold by Fitness New Zealand does not meet one of the guarantees detailed above and can be repaired within a reasonable period of time, we will either repair or replace the product with an identical product type. If we cannot repair the product or replacement is not a viable option, or the repair cannot be carried out within a reasonable period of time, Fitness New Zealand will refund you the original purchase price.

Major Fault

If a product cannot be repaired, due to the nature of the fault (safety risk) or the failure is of substantial character (i.e. multiple product failures), you may choose either a replacement of an identical product type or a refund of the original product purchase price.

What we will do

When the product is initially returned, we may try to fix (troubleshoot) the problem (if applicable), in consultation with the supplier, before sending it to an authorised repair agent for assessment.

  • If your returned product is still within the manufacturer's warranty period, and after assessment is found to have a manufacturing fault, the repair and all associated costs will be free of charge;
  • If the product is outside of the manufacturer's warranty period, but the fault is found to be a manufacturing fault this may be remedied in accordance with the CGA; or
  • If the product is outside of the manufacturer's warranty period, and the fault found on assessment is not a manufacturing fault, the cost of assessment and repair will be payable by the customer.

Privacy Disclosure

In order to seek a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fitness New Zealand may need to collect and share your personal information for the purpose of conducting a repair with a third party repair provider or supplier. Personal information may include:

  • Your contact information, such as name, telephone number, e-mail and residential address; and
  • Device security password(s).

In some instances, we may require you to authorise Fitness New Zealand to access your device's security passwords, and share these with a supplier or (authorised) repairer in order to facilitate a repair on your device. In this instance, we are acting on your behalf and you are duly authorising us to hold this information on your behalf.

We recognise that your personal information is confidential and we are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. Our Privacy Policy can be found on our website

Commercial or Business

The CGA may not apply to goods and services purchased from Fitness New Zealand for commercial, resale or trade use.
